New Words and Earthquakes

There was an earthquake tonight in Preston and we felt it in Logan. I've never felt one before and it was a little frightening, Chris turned off the ceiling fan in case it fell off. It was a 3.5 magnitude. My parents who live just 5 minutes away didn't feel it, but they were outside lighting fireworks. I was sitting reading books with Jackson. I need to fill up my 55 gallon water drum.

In other news, Jackson is learning new words like crazy now. In the last 2 days he's started to say please (pease), yes (jes) and no (doe). In the last few weeks he's learned baby (beebee), cheese (jeese), doggie, puppy, juice (jushe), monkey noises (ee ee oo oo). He sometimes calls me "meemaw" instead of mommy and today called Chris "dad" instead of dada or daddy. I am a super proud mom!! Lily hasn't started talking...but sometimes when she eats it sounds like she's humming.

Today we went to a park in Logan that is so awesome. It's all made of that trek or composite decking material and the ground is this squishy stuff. It is great because there is a little area for smaller kids and it has a train and a playhouse. There is lots of room to run around and it's all fenced in which makes it great for our little escape artist. We forgot our camera but will post a picture after we go next time. Tomorrow we'll hopefully go check out a splash pad that is in Providence.

Happy 24th, we're thankful to live in Utah and to be able to celebrate the history of our state and the pioneers.
