Thankfulness

Since it's Thanksgiving I thought I'd share a few things that I am particularly grateful for this year.

Psych:  This is one of my favorite shows and I'm thankful for it for a few reasons.  It makes me laugh and be happy, and it is also something that Chris and I can enjoy together.  It's nice to have some entertainment we both love.

Kid History videos on YouTube: These have made my day so many times!  They are the perfect length videos to add some humor.  I shared them with a few of my coworkers and while most of them think they are dumb, one girl and I quote them all the time.

Prayers with Jackson:  Jack has started talking so much and repeating a lot of what we say.  This makes prayer time with him fun because he repeats the words (can't understand them all yet) and when we're at the end he says a loud "baben" (amen).

Lily: I love this girl!  We couldn't have asked for a more patient, beautiful girl.  She adds a peaceful feeling to our family and her smiles make you feel like the most wonderful person on earth.

My Mom: Mom!! Where would I be without you.  I can't say enough about my mother and how much she helps us.  She has taken care of Jackson since he was born, and watched Lily every day my first month and a half back at work.  She sacrifices so much for not only her own children but lots of other people's children too.  She is a great example to me.

Chris: Best Husband.  The past month has been pretty stressful because I have had to do a lot of extra things after work and Chris has been so wonderful.  I came home to dinner ready to eat and the house clean more than once and it helped so much.  He helps so much with the kids and they absolutely love the attention they get from daddy (it's so different than mommy attention).  I love you!

My sister Stina: I have totally lucked out in the sibling department (that includes my in-laws) but want to say thanks to my little sis.  It was such a fun summer having our babies at the same time and we have spent a lot of time together because of it.  We saw so much of each other that whenever there is a gap of a week or two it's a breath of fresh air to see her and Hazel again.  She has had twins quite a few times while she watches Lily and Hazel at the same time and somehow manages perfectly.  Thanks for being a great friend and such a strong gal.

Dad: My dad is the handiest man I know. And it's in everything.  He goes from fixing car break lights to making and bottling apple sauce like that's a totally normal transition.  If we have a question about anything my dad has the answer.  Thanks for teaching me how to fix things and also how to be more domestic.  What great things to learn from a dad!!

The scriptures: They invite the spirit into my life.  I am happier, I am a better mother and wife and employee, and I am closer to my Savior because of them.

We have had so many blessings this year.  Chris' parents brought us to Hawaii to visit in March and that was such a great time.  Kathy came to visit in September and we loved seeing her.  We miss them and are counting the months until they come home.  Shelley makes trips up here to spend time with us and her best pal Jackson.  Everyone in our families makes our lives more complete and fulfilling.  There's no way I can list everything we have been given and what people have done for us but know that we love you all and appreciate what you do.

my best guys.
