Fulfilling the commitment:
Addie:
Pizza: We love pizza, and a few weeks ago Chris wanted to get some but I was so tired of spending $20 or more whenever we wanted some. I told him we should just make something at home. He was a little dejected until he said, "okay, let's make pizza!" I was a little skeptical since we are not very good bakers and anything requiring yeast scares me. Chris found a super easy recipe for crust and we tried it out. We didn't have pepperoni so we cooked up some chicken. One pizza had pizza sauce, chicken, cheddar cheese and olives. The other had BBQ sauce, pineapple, olives, cheddar and pepper jack cheese. WE ARE ADDICTED. They turned out so good that we made them last weekend and are going to make them again tonight. Who needs to pay 20 bucks for pizza anymore??? Today we are going to try Alfredo sauce.
Jackson: He has started saying "I love you" without prompt or reason. The other night I was putting him to bed and he grabbed my arm, wrapped it around him and said "Awe Ju, mama." Melts your heart. He also started getting picky about his name. One morning he woke up and kept saying "Hi mom" and I would say "Hi Jack" and after a few times of that he pointed to himself and said "No, Jackson." So I can't call him Jack anymore, his name is Jackson.
Lily: She loves her cereal and gobbles it down. She tries to feed herself with the spoon. Lily likes her veggies too, she's been eating carrots, peas, & green beans. She has been rolling over from her back to her tummy for a few weeks now, but yesterday she rolled herself back onto her back. She is loving her new mobility. This week she turned 7 months!!
We are thankful for: Home made pizza :)
I found this photo the other day of Fresca. I believe this was one of the very first days that we had her. I still remember when we put a leash on her and she darted out and hit the end of the line and it flipped her in the air. I think that was the one and only time we put a leash on her.
I will never forget her last day with us. Down in our basement after everyone had gone to bed for the night, I remember her coming up to me and struggling to talk to me. I remember feeling like I was losing a mom and a child just because she was my kitty and I knew how much she cared about me.

Chris:
So I wanted to do something a little different and thought it would be kinda cool to scan some old photos that I've been finding that have sparked some cool and interesting memories. I may not do this every week but I'll be doing it often.
I found this photo the other day of Fresca. I believe this was one of the very first days that we had her. I still remember when we put a leash on her and she darted out and hit the end of the line and it flipped her in the air. I think that was the one and only time we put a leash on her.
I really miss her - and oddly enough, I'm glad that I forget sometimes that we had her because she was one of my best friends growing up (6th grade --> College). You could tell that she loved us so much (and Jon, I know you loved that cat. You'll just never admit it. But I know it's in your heart somewhere! (: ) And even though I know she frustrated dad sometimes, it still makes me laugh when I think about trying to play ping pong and her getting in the way or even jumping on the table.
I will never forget her last day with us. Down in our basement after everyone had gone to bed for the night, I remember her coming up to me and struggling to talk to me. I remember feeling like I was losing a mom and a child just because she was my kitty and I knew how much she cared about me.
Lily - So, although Addie posted a little bit about Lily, I wanted to share a Picture and a Video with you that we took today. She is really starting to grow up (as much as a 7 month old really can). She can turn over pretty easily, but it's turning back that she is having a little difficulty with. The video is of her in the high chair trying to play with some legos.
