we are the wilsons:
Addie Talking:
Jackson: We got to play outside 2 days this week!! Jacks loves the park and getting outside to run. When he doesn't get to let out his energy we usually get a somewhat naughty and restless boy on our hands. Today was a technology free day (no tv, computer or "Pipod"). I'm trying to limit the time he uses these. We find other ways to be entertained and we have to use our imagination quite a bit. It makes for a much less grumpy guy and I know it is improving our relationship.
Lily: Lily got my hair color! I have a few strands of red here and there - the light has to be just right to see them - but Lil has the same thing! The fact that my beautiful baby girl has the same colors makes me like my hair again. :) Lily got a rash yesterday and it got worse today. She's been taking an antibiotic so we didn't give that to her tonight and we'll see if it clears up for tomorrow. If not, it's another trip in to the doc. The rash seems to be bugging her quite a lot and she hasn't been eating well. We need her to just feel better! Lily loves playing the piano and even gets her shoulders into it and then will hold the notes for a while for some drama.
Addie: My birthday was Tuesday and while we had done some celebrating the week before, there was more to come. On Monday I went to get the kids from my parents and my mom had dinner waiting on the table to celebrate and she made an amazing layered/truffley type cake. So good. On Tuesday I woke up to Jacks singing to me, and a waffle making husband. At work I had balloons and a flower on my desk and some gourmet fruit pizza - all from my coworkers. My mom brought me a gift and my friend ended my work day by bringing me some cupcakes from a little bakery in town. NICE. If that wasn't enough Chris and I got to go to dinner and a movie (we finally saw Sherlock Holmes). The next morning we ate ice cream cake for breakfast because we didn't have room in our tummies for it the night before. I heard from so many people wishing me a good day and making me feel like the greatest person on earth. Thanks so much!!
Chris: RSL soccer has officially begun. We are hoping they get to the playoffs, especially because we are already planning on going to one of their playoff games. The games are so much fun and the energy from the crowd is amazing. Chris is still our amazing photographer and got some really cool shots this week, we will feature a few of them here. Chris made me feel like a queen on my birthday! He's really good at spoiling me.
We are thankful for Sunshine!!!

Chris Talking:
Well, It's been an interesting week. On Tuesday, Addie's birthday, there was a huge snow / ice storm. It was bad enough that when we got out of the movie that night and had scraped off the ice from our cars, by the time i had made it all the way around to the drivers side door, It was all ice again. Fast forward to today... it was 60+ degrees outside and we played in the park. Utah weather really does seem like it changes every 5 minutes.
Jackson has begun saying the prayers in the morning. He's done it twice this week. We'll go for more this week. He does a really good job of copy-talk. He's also more aware of when he needs to go to the bathroom but has no desire to use the Elmo potty yet.
Lily is sick but is still a ton of fun to play with. She absolutely loves her stuffed monkey and gets excited every time she sees him. Sometimes when she's asleep in her crib she'll be a couple feet away from the monkey but the next time you go in she will have rolled over to him and grabbed him and then would fall back asleep...it's so cute to see! I don't have a picture of it yet but I will get it on here soon.
I was able to take a few pictures of the kids the last few days. Some are from our night together with the Maxfields where Lily and Hazel learned to play the piano together..While others are from today at the Hancocks.
